Single car crash claims the life of 26-year-old man on LA Highway 63

LIVINGSTON, La. (LOCAL 33) (FOX 44) - Louisiana State Police responded to a fatal single truck crash in Livingston Parish Saturday early morning.

According to authorities, shortly after 10 a.m. on September 15, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop A began investigating a single vehicle crash that resulted in a fatality on LA Hwy 63 north of US Hwy 190 in Livingston Parish.

The crash took the life of 26-year-old Max A. Mclin of Livingston.

The investigation revealed that the crash occurred as Mclin was driving a 1997 Ford F-150 northbound on LA Hwy 63 and for reasons unknown Mclin entered a left hand curve his vehicle ran off the road to the left.

After leaving the roadway, the vehicle traveled down an embankment and struck several trees.

Mclin was unrestrained at the time of the crash and sustained fatal injuries as a result.

Impairment is not suspected to be a factor in this crash, however, a blood sample was taken and submitted to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for analysis.

This crash remains under investigation.
