SMPSO: Missing Breaux Bridge teen has been found

According to Public information Officer Major Ginny Higgins, Deja DeRouen has been returned to her home.

She was located in Breaux Bridge late Friday evening.

A 16-year-old girl is missing and the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help finding her. 

SMPSO said Deja Derouen “was last seen at her home in the 4000 block of Main Hwy” in Breaux Bridge.

Derouen is considered a runaway and a family member notified police that she was missing around 1 a.m. on Wednesday morning. 

According to the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office, Derouen is a “light skinned black female, 5’5”, 130 pounds, green eyes, very short slick hair style, and was last seen wearing pajamas.”
