Southern Jaguars take on University of Memphis in 1000th game

Local News

The Southern University Jaguars got off to a good start with a 7-0 lead over the Memphis Tigers.

However, after the Tigers made their first touchdown they picked up momentum they continued to dominate the field throughout the remainder of the game.

One of the most exciting parts of the game has to be in the second quarter when the Jaguars managed to keep possession of the ball for majority of the quarter, turning every third down to a first while moving on down the field.

While the Southern Jaguars pushed hard they eventually fell to the Tigers with a 24-55 loss.

The Jags will take on Edward Waters in their home opener next weekend.
