We’ve seen many locally owned businesses completely shut their doors due to the coronavirus pandemic, but Southern University in partnership with the Small Business Association and several other organizations is hosting two webinars focused on business assistance.
The event is called HBCUs Small Business COVID-19 crisis assistance webinar series and is open for everyone.
Businesses owners can expect discussions of programs, eligibility, criteria, and information needed to be submitted for relief such as the economic injury disaster loan and advance for the paycheck protection program.
Officials with SBA says the most important takeaway is staying informed.
“It’s critical that we keep them updated, especially since this is a very fluid situation. We get updates daily regarding the small business programs that’s associated with this disaster,” says Jo Ann Lawrence, Deputy District Director of the Louisiana District Office.
The webinar will begin at 11 a.m. CT through video conference platform, Zoom, as well through phone.
