Southern University to host community health fair

BATON ROUGE, La. (NBC LOCAL 33) (FOX 44) – Southern University is partnering up with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana along with the All of Us Research Program for a community health fair.

The #WellnessWednesday Community Health Event will be held July 17th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Smith-Brown Memorial Student Union on campus in the Royal Cotillion Ballroom.

There, vendors will offer free blood pressure screenings, food and even a workout class.

The goal of this fair is to bring awareness to the All of Us program. Its goal is to “speed up health research and medical breakthroughs that can help create individualized prevention, treatment and care for everyone, but especially for minority communities.”
