St. Amant beats East Jefferson 48-20 after back-and-fourth 1st quarter

St. Amant and East Jefferson’s first quarter was a tale of a back-and-forth affair.

In the first quarter, the Warriors drove down field and scored off Isaiah Lee’s goal line run to put East Jefferson up 7-0 early. The Gators didn’t stay down for long though, one play actually.

Following the kickoff, Landon Stewart took the hand-off on the first offensive play of the night for St. Amant and ran a long touchdown run to tie the game at 7-7. The first quarter scoring didn’t end there though.

St. Amant got down to the goal line, and Reggie Sims runs in the go-ahead, first quarter score. The Gators go up 13-7, but a Marvin Smith touchdown run for the Warriors tied the game at 13-13 near the end of the opening quarter.

FINAL: St. Amant 48, East Jefferson 20.
