BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) Four people, two Reserve women and two LaPlace men, were arrested for felony crimes against an elderly woman.
In early August, SJTBPSO responded to a complaint from an elderly woman who reported her checks had been stolen.
Through investigation, detectives developed 44-year-old Jenny Guidry, 38-year-old Kelly Keating, 42-year-old Quinn Boudreaux and 30-year-old Eric Blackwell as suspects in connection to the stolen checks.
According to an official post from the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office, Guidry lived with the victim and stole her checks. She wrote and distributed checks to the suspects and they deposited them into their personal accounts for her.
Detectives obtained judicial warrants for the arrest of Guidry, Keating, Boudreaux and Blackwell based on the investigation.
Guidry was arrested Wednesday, August 25 and charged with principal to bank fraud (felony), exploitation of the infirmed (felony), principal to forgery, identity theft. She was also a wanted person on a contempt of court warrant and is now held in custody on a charge more than $110,00,000.
Keating was arrested on Wednesday and charged with bank fraud felony and is being held on a charge of $25,000 bond.
Blackwell also was wanted on several contempt of court warrants and was charged on Wednesday, August 25, with for three counts for principal to bank fraud. He is being held in custody with a charge more than $75,000,00.
Boudreaux was arrested on August 20, and charged with principal to bank fraud. He is being held in custody on a charge of more than $8,000,00 bond.
