BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) – St. John the Baptist Parish announced that places of worship can apply for disaster assistance.
Churches, synagogues, etc. may be eligible to receive funding for repairs or replacements if they were damaged during a natural disaster. According to a Facebook post from St. John the Baptist Parish, FEMA policies have been changed, making possible funding easier from an event that is a Federally Declared Major Disaster, such as Hurricane Ida.
