St. Martinville man arrested after fleeing from an officer

ST. MARTINVILLE, La (BRPOUD) St. Martinville Sheriff Becket Breaux announced on Thursday, August 26 that deputies, with the assistance of Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office, arrested 20-year-old Bernard Mitchell IV on an arrest warrant for the following charges:

Mitchell was arrested in Lafayette and is currently booked in the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the above charges.

1 Count of LA R.S. 32:79-Roadway Laned for Traffic (Misdemeanor)

1 Count of LA R.S. 32:104-Turning Movement and Required Signals (Misdemeanor)

1 Count of LA R.S. 40:966A (Marijuana)-Distribution/Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana, or Synthetic Cannabinoids (Felony)

2 Counts of LA R.S. 40:967A-Distribution /Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS (Felony)

1 Count of LA R.S. 40:1041-Transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses (Felony)

1 Count of LA R.S.40:981.3-Violations of CDS Law/Drug-Free Zone (Felony)

1 Count of LA R.S. 40:969A-Distribution/Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule IV CDS (Felony)

1 Count of LA R.S 14:108.1C-Aggravated Flight from an Officer (Felony)

Mitchell was arrested in Lafayette and is currently booked in the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the above charges.

Mitchell’s bond is set for 300,000,00.
