WEST BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Two horses that were stolen from Brusly were found in an East Baton Rouge neighborhood Monday, detectives say.
According to authorities with the West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, the horses were taken from their home Sunday. Detectives discovered the animals in the yard of a home on Duke Street.
Detectives say they also found a third stolen horse along with property that a thief made off with from Ascension Parish.
After securing the stolen animals and items, detectives report detaining a suspect under the age of 18 who was at the scene.

Authorities say both horses have been returned to their owner unharmed, and their investigation into the crime remains ongoing.
According to detectives, additional arrests are likely.
