Whether you’re watching or boycotting the Super Bowl you got to eat. Spice up your tailgate with this tasty Cajun dip. 

Davey’s Treasures Cajun Layer Dip is sure to be a hit at your next party! This recipe is packed with protein, fiber and is a healthier alternative to your typical dip recipes. 

Davey’s Treasures is a local salsa company that started at the LSU AgCenter Food Incubator.


1st layer:

2 cans light red beans-washed and drained well

1 c Davey’s Treasures Salsa

2 T lime juice

1 t. salt-to taste

2nd layer:

8 oz plain Greek yogurt

2 t. lemon juice

1 t. Tony Chacheres

¾ t. garlic powder

¾ t. onion powder


Finely chopped: Red onion, multi-color cherry tomatoes, colorful bell peppers, cilantro


1st layer: Place beans in food processor with salsa-pulse until smooth. Add lime juice and salt.

2nd layer: Mix all. On platter, spread first layer of Salsa/bean dip. Gently spread second layer of seasoned yogurt on Salsa/bean dip. Sprinkle chopped vegetables in layers on top of yogurt layer.

Serve with carrot slices, cucumber slices, celery sticks, blue corn dippers, pita chips or your favorite cracker. Chill several hours or overnight. Makes 16 servings.
