ZACHARY, La. (BRPROUD) – After serving as superintendent of the Zachary Community School District for 11 years, Scott Devillier looks forward to retiring in the summer of 2023.

Devillier announced his retirement plans via a Tuesday, Jan. 24 statement that referred to his decision as “bittersweet.”

Devillier said, “I love what I do and the people I work with daily; however, I have reached a point where I want to spend more time with my family, who have been extremely supportive and understanding of the demands of my career for all these years.”

His 20-year-long career with Zachary schools will officially come to a close on July 14.

The Zachary school district will take steps to begin its search and selection of a new superintendent.
