ST. FRANCISVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) – A man is behind bars in connection with a shooting at a convenience store in St. Francisville that left three people injured on Thursday.
The suspect is 30-year-old Demarcus Dunbar of Woodville, MS.
The West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that hours after the shooting, he turned himself in to local police.
“Through exceptional detective work and assistance from neighboring agencies we were able to identify the suspect and resolve this case quickly,” said Sheriff Brian Spillman. “I’m proud of the work of our deputies.”
Dunbar is currently in the West Feliciana Parish Jail facing these charges:
- Two counts of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder
- One count of Attempted 2nd Degree Battery
There is no bond set for Demarcus Dunbar.
