TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) — The Tangipahoa Parish School System (TPSS) says students returning to campuses on Monday will not be required to wear face masks.

The school system said students’ first day of the spring semester will be a full virtual day on Friday, Jan. 7. On Monday, Jan. 10 students will return to in-person schooling on campuses.

TPSS is strongly recommending face masks on school grounds but will not make it a requirement at this time. However, masks will be required on school buses per federal mandates.
