The Louisiana Governor’s Mansion and Gardens to hold first event of year Monday

BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) – Louisiana’s Governor’s Mansion and Gardens will hold its first “Reflections in the Garden” event of the year on Monday, Jan. 3.

Reflections in the Garden is a monthly lunch and learn speaking event where local specialists offer a variety of garden-related tips and tricks. Seating is limited and registration is required. Tickets are free to Friends of the Garden Members and $10 for non-members.

Coordinator for the Governor’s Mansion Jennifer Gomez is the speaker. Gomez will speak on how she works with such a large facility to keep florals in great condition.

Reflections take place in-person from noon to 1 p.m. at the Ione Burden Conference Center and online via Microsoft Teams. The LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens is located at 560 Essen Lane in Baton Rouge, La.
