Theatre Baton Rouge welcomes first musical back to main stage in more than a year

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRProud) – Theatre Baton Rouge is bringing a new musical to the stage called GODSPELL, which will be the first musical on our Main Stage since February 2020.

GODSPELL follows a small group of people who help Jesus Christ tell different parables by using a wide
variety of games, storytelling techniques and hefty doses of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs,
ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, is employed as the story of Jesus’ life dances across the stage.
Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus’ messages of kindness, tolerance,
and love come vibrantly to life.

TBR will require anyone 12 years of age and older to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours prior to entry into the theatre. Masks are required for all regardless of vaccine status.

Tickets are $25 for students/$35 for adults and are available now at TheatreBR.org or by calling 225-
924-6496.
