LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) — The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office says a burglary suspect was caught on camera using a unique disguise — a large brown box.
Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard said the theft took place on Thursday, Aug. 18 at a dental business on Crossing Way. He said the suspect hidden under the box came into the building through an unlocked back door before tossing her disguise.
The sheriff said the suspect stayed in the business for four hours and attempted to open a safe, but failed. Ard said items that were stolen included an iPhone charger cable, an audio cable, and two Invisalign brace systems.
Deputies arrested 44-year-old Celestiane Casandra Kiya Wooten of Baton Rouge on charges of simple burglary/immovable and tampering with surveillance. She bonded out on Aug. 24.
The investigation into the burglary is ongoing.
