Tonight: ZHS holding town hall on stabbing that injured student

ZACHARY, La. (BRPROUD) – Zachary High School will be hosting a town hall meeting Monday night following a stabbing last week that injured a student.

The meeting starts at 6 p.m. tonight in the School’s Visual and Performing Arts Center.

Zachary Police say a teen was stabbed several times after a fight in front of the school’s gym and taken to the hospital in serious condition. Zachary Police tell us that the injured student is in stable condition.

Another teen is facing charges, including attempted second-degree murder.

The Zachary Community School District Superintendent sent a letter to parents telling them that student safety is a top priority.
