BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Austin-based taco restaurant Torchy’s Tacos will open its Baton Rouge location, which is adjacent to LSU, on Wednesday.
The restaurant, located within Nicholson Gateway at 3658 Nicholson Drive, will kick off its opening with a “Tacos for a Year” raffle, which will end on Tuesday.
“We are excited to bring Torchy’s ‘Damn Good’ tacos and beloved queso to the great city of Baton Rouge,” Torchy’s Tacos CEO G.J. Hart said. “Even though we come from Longhorn country, we look forward to turning the Tigers into taco junkies and bringing our new Bayou Pirate taco for everyone to try.”
The Bayou Pirate taco is a menu item specific to Torchy’s three Louisiana locations — Baton Rouge, Shreveport and Lake Charles. It contains a blend of popular Louisiana ingredients such as fried crawfish tails and andouille sausage, according to a Torchy’s Tacos press release.
The Baton Rouge location’s hours are as follows:
- Monday through Thursday: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Friday: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Saturday: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
