Trial happening in 2021 for ex-deputy & wife in child sex case

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRProud) – The Louisiana Attorney General’s Office announced the trial date of ex-Livingston Parish Sheriff’s deputy Dennis Perkins and his wife, Cynthia Perkins, who stand accused of sexual acts with minors.

The trial date has been scheduled to begin on the earliest available date provided by the Court which is Monday, July 12, 2021.

Between both Dennis and Cynthia face 150 counts of sexual offenses against victims, two of which are said to be juveniles.

Also, the hearing on Melanie Curtin’s motion to leave jurisdiction of the Court has been set for Monday, August 31, 2020. Her trial date will scheduled then too.

Curtin, 41, of Denham Springs, was taken into custody late in January for her alleged involvement with Dennis and Cynthia Perkins, the couple at the center of an investigation of crimes against children.
