ST. AMANT, La. (BRPROUD) – A procession for Master Trooper Adam Gaubert was held on Oct. 11. The procession traveled from the East Baton Rouge Coroner’s Office to Rest Haven Funeral Home.
Gaubert was killed in an ambush on Oct. 9.
Since then, prominent members of the state and local community are remembering the 19-year veteran of the Louisiana State Police.

Law enforcement has lost one of the great ones in a senseless act of violence. St. Amant and 5th. Ward VFD’s has had the honor and privilege of working with Master Trooper Adam Gaubert on multiple occasions. He was ALWAYS professional and smiling. Prayers for his family and to law enforcement everywhere. Our hearts are shattered.
Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal issued this statement about the passing of Master Trooper Adam Gaubert:
“The SFM family stands in mourning with Louisiana State Police and the Gaubert family following the tragic loss of Master Trooper Gaubert.”
United States Senator John Kennedy is offering prayers for the fallen trooper:
Master Trooper Adam Gaubert served Louisiana faithfully for almost two decades with the LA State Police.

Over the weekend, Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards said that LSP Trooper Adam Gaubert “represents the best of all us.”
