Uber drivers among those calling for passing of Ridesharing Bill

The Let’s Geaux Louisiana Coalition  will be at the Louisiana State Capitol on Wednesday encouraging the Louisiana Senate to pass HB 749.

According to the Let’s Geaux Louisiana Coalition, the HB 749 bill if passed would establish a “set of rules for ridesharing that can bring Uber and Lyft to more communities throughout the state.” 

The Let’s Geaux Louisiana Coalition will be joined by Louisiana House of Representatives Speaker Taylor Barras, Senator Sharon Hewitt, Stephen Waguespack, President & CEO of Louisiana Association of Business & Industry (LABI) and Uber and Lyft drivers from around Louisiana.

The event will occur at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25 at the Alario Plaza located at 900 N. Third St.
