BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – How much closer are we to getting a new Mississippi River Bridge?
That is one of the questions that might be answered at the Louisiana State Capitol on Monday afternoon.
DOTD and Atlas Technical Consultants, LLC. are expected to go over the latest information about the Mississippi River Bridge project including possible bridge locations.
According to BRAC, “Tangible progress is underway in the process to build a new Mississippi River Bridge and connectors in the Capital Region. Atlas is working with DOTD on site selection, and has narrowed down the number of potential locations to 17 sites.”

C. Other Bridge Project updates from attending representatives of DOTD.
D. Comparison of Timelines and Tasks to actual performance by Atlas.
E. Identification of all remaining alternatives for potential Bridge location.
F. Report on amount of funds expended/disbursed by DOTD to Atlas.

A. The recently passed Federal Infrastructure Legislation and an explanation of the allocation of said funds to current DOTD projects already prioritized and/or any potential allocation for a new bridge construction.
B. Current prioritization of the Mississippi River Bridge project.
