WEST BATON ROUGE PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) — A driver was left with minor injuries after being pulled from a waterway Saturday night.

According to the West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office (WBRSO), the vehicle was recovered from the Intracoastal Waterway near Morley Marina early Nov. 19.

“They were able to perfectly, blindly, from a boat above, securely hook onto the submerged vehicle with a large towing hook,” the sheriff’s office said. “Saving the tow truck driver from having to swim out and down to the vehicle in the very chilly water.”

WBRSO said the driver got out of the vehicle before it went underwater.
