BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A Veterans Day Breakfast will be held Wednesday, Nov. 10 to honor veterans in Baton Rouge.

The event will be hosted by Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome and the Mayor’s Advisory Council on Veterans Affairs at the Main Library Branch (711 Goodwood Blvd) from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

“Our Veterans have sacrificed so much to defend the freedoms and liberties we enjoy here in East Baton Rouge Parish  it is important for us to take every opportunity to show support and thank them for their service,” said Mayor Broome. “I look forward to this opportunity to bring our Veteran community together, honor them, and create lasting memories.”

Pre-registration will be required. Registrations can be made until 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9.

Eligible attendees must be a resident of East Baton Rouge Parish; have previously served in at least one branch of the armed forces; and present their e-ticket or confirmation of registration from Eventbrite in order to enter the event, according to the mayor’s office.
