View the wonders of the solar system with two viewings at Baton Rouge observatory

BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) – Highland Road Park Observatory will have two public viewings on Thursday.

A solar viewing special session will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. Visitors will be able to use three different devices to view the sun.

Viewers can attempt to see the Comet Leonard at the Burbank Soccer Complex from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. With weather-permitting, scope operators should be able to capture an image. Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn will also be in the viewing area.
