Volunteers In Public Schools announces this year’s “Super Summer Readers” program

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Volunteers In Public Schools (VIPS) announces this year’s “Super Summer Readers” program.

The program encourages students to read during the summer months while students are out of school.

This summer over 300 EBRP Head Start 4-year-old students will get their own bundle of books. VIPS will be distributing a total of 1,319 books.

All books come with a storytime video read by a community leader, craft activities and Raising Canes’ kid’s meal certificates.

Book distribution takes place on Friday, June 25 at New Horizon Head Start on 28th Street starting from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
