BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – BREC will host a trash cleanup day on Saturday, Sept. 17.

Keep Nature Wild is asking for volunteers to come out and help clean BREC’S Forest Community Park from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Leashed pets are welcome to come. Volunteers should wear appropriate outdoor attire such as boots and long pants. Keep Nature Wild will provide gloves and bags. Volunteers can bring trash grabbers and buckets. Those interested can sign up here and meet under the large pavilion behind the splash pad.

The park is located at South Harrells Ferry Road.

Keep Nature Wild is hosting the event as part of National Cleanup Day.
