BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Walk On’s Game On Foundation kicks off a fundraising campaign dedicated to rebuilding or refurbishing youth sports facilities across the United States.
The Level Up campaign’s first project was at the Crane’s Park basketball court in Melbourne, Florida. The project was completed within weeks of announcing the fundraiser thanks to community members’ donations.
Future projects are to be announced within the year.
Walk Ons is asking guests for optional donations when they order online or dine in. The fundraiser began on July 1 and ends Oct. 30.
Additionally, 15% of online retail proceeds will go to the foundation and during National Youth Sports Week (July 20-24) all proceeds from youth athletic retail sales will be donated.
“At Walk-On’s, community service is at the core of everything we do,” said Founder and CEO, Brandon Landry. “The Game On Foundation solves localized problems by giving the athletes of tomorrow a better, cleaner and safer place to play sports. We look forward to being able to build better places to play across the country.”
