Walker man accused of setting fire to ex-girlfriend’s vehicle

WALKER, La. (BRPROUD) – A Walker man was arrested after allegedly setting fire to his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle with several people inside.

All individuals, including two children, escaped the vehicle safely, according to the State Fire Marshal.

Authorities said the incident took place late Aug. 25 in the 13000 block of Buck Perkins Lane and the suspect, later identified by witnesses as 37-year-old Tyler Wheeler, was arrested by Walker Police.

Wheeler faces one count of aggravated arson.
