Read an official statement from members of Haley and Associates below:

There is no statute of limitations on the truth. Eight (8) years after the death of Casa Bean’s
son, Dontrunner Robinson, she entrusted our offices and the NAACP to find out what really
happened. This week our efforts have uncovered a large part of the truth that has been so elusive
to the Robinson family.

Once retained, we learned of possible audio/video footage taken from Mr. Robinson’s
home surveillance system that would corroborate the savage beating illustrated in Robinson’s
graphic autopsy photographs. Efforts were made by contacting the Baton Rouge Police
Department, East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the East Baton Rouge Parish District
Attorney’s Office to obtain the hard-drive that was seized from Mr. Robinson’s residence the day
of his death. After months of being misled as to the custodian, content, and even existence of the
hard-drive, the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office finally produced the hard-drive to his
mother via a court order. When the national publication, USA Today, inquired about possible
footage on the hard-drive, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office stated that there was no footage
on the hard-drive.

The hard-drive was sent to a private investigator obtained by the NAACP. The investigator
was able to retrieve parts of the video footage of Mr. Robinson’s hard-drive by using software that
restores deleted data. That footage shows a heavy law enforcement presence in the front yard of
Mr. Robinson’s residence. This proves that East Baton Rouge Parish law enforcement agencies
not only lied about the content contained on the hard-drive, but were active in covering up what
was on it. In the coming weeks, we are hopeful to obtain the entirety of the footage from the harddrive.

However, based on these findings we are officially requesting that the East Baton Rouge
District Attorney and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Louisiana
officially open an investigation into the death and cover-up of Dontrunner Robinson.

Yours in Justice,

Dedrick Moore, Ashley Greenhouse and Ryan Beaulieu
