GEISMAR, La. (BRPROUD) – A Baton Rouge man named Jessie Mcnemar has quite a story to tell after pulling up to a TNT Express on Tuesday night.

Mcnemar arrived a little after 6 p.m. at the convenience store located on E Hwy 30 and that is where this first video begins:

As you can see in the video, the vehicle was smoking when Mcnemar pulled up to the scene.

The Baton Rouge man tried to make contact with the driver but there was no response and the doors to the vehicle were locked.

According to Mcnemar, at some point after trying to make contact, the driver hit the accelerator and pushed the other vehicle sideways.

The second video shows the Baton Rouge man trying to break the driver’s side window without success.

From there, the back of the vehicle lights on fire due to the driver having their foot on the accelerator.

The second video ends with Mcnemar being handed a fire extinguisher by the store clerk which he uses to put out the car fire.

According to Mcnemar, the Geismar Volunteer Fire Department arrived around four minutes after the car fire was put out.

The next video shows others including two deputies with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office at the scene.

Deputies with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office also noticed one vehicle ramming into the other vehicle.

Mcnemar is seen using the fire extinguisher to break the window and open the door.

APSO says the driver was passed out with their foot on the accelerator.

The driver was then taken out of the vehicle by the deputies and Mcnemar, according to the Baton Rouge man.

That is where the fourth and last video begins at the convenience store.

The almost one-minute video shows the driver on the ground and deputies surveying the scene.

The driver has been identified as 36-year-old Dexton Weber.

A search of the vehicle by deputies uncovered heroin and drug paraphernalia.

Weber’s injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

The 36-year-old was arrested and charged with “operating while intoxicated – second, possession of heroin, and prohibited act – drug paraphernalia,” according to the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Acadian Ambulance assisted the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office and Geismar Volunteer Fire Department at the scene.

The TNT Express is located at 35640 E Hwy 30.
