BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The LSU Museum of Art in downtown Baton Rouge has temporarily closed due to an emergency water incident.

The museum said the incident took place in the Shaw Center for the Arts building on Tuesday and the situation will be monitored “day by day.” Work is currently being done to access the water damage and conduct recovery plans.

New exhibitions that were set to be on view starting this Thursday have been postponed, the museum said in a statement. However, the virtual Blurring Boundaries panel discussion will still be happening on Thursday and the museum’s store on the first floor remains open.
