WEST BATON ROUGE PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) – The West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a body found in the Mississippi River on Monday morning.
The call came in around 7 a.m. that a tugboat had spotted a body in the river.
A flotilla was summoned to extract the body from the river.
WBRSO has not released the identity of the person found in the river.
