BAKER, La. (BRPROUD) – The Magnolia Rose Foundation will host its first Autism Acceptance run later this month.
The 1st Rose Run for Autism Acceptance will begin at 9 a.m. on April 30 in Baker City Park. The event is free and open to the public. Everyone is encouraged to walk or run around the track four times at their own pace. Runners are asked to wear bright colors since autism is a spectrum of colors. Water will be provided, and a prize will be given to everyone who registers and completes the 3K.
The run will have music and entertainment. Families can bring their own food, drinks, tents, and chairs to set up on the grounds. The Magnolia Rose Foundation will provide a dark sensory tent with complimentary earplugs for anyone who may feel overstimulated.
Register for the run here. Baker City Park is located at 3325 Groom Road in Baker.
