ASCENSION PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) — A website dedicated to helping storm debris pick-up efforts has launched.

Ascension Parish officials say the website will give details on how debris should be separated, organized and placed to be serviced and track pick-up progress. There is also a section of the website describing how residents can dispose of debris at Lamar Dixon.

Officials said the website will have a self-reporting feature in the future so areas that were missed in pick-ups can be notified.

“We want residents to know that debris is being picked up each and every day,” said the Ascension Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness. “We want residents to understand that our contractor, DRC, will be working until the job is done to remove our debris to help us recover. This website provides a way to see the progress of that.”
