StormTracker Team Forecast…Records have been shattered all across the Deep South thanks to the Arctic front that passed through on Tuesday. Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport’s previous record low temperature on November 13th was 29°F from 1968 and then another record was recorded of 26°F from 1907. A low temperature of 24°F was recorded at the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport, which shatters both records.
Fortunately, temperatures will warm into the lower 50s by the afternoon. Clouds will increase into tonight, which will keep temperatures in the upper 30s to lower 40s by morning.
A passing disturbance will increase our rain chances to around 60% on Thursday. You will need the jackets and umbrellas. Highs will only top out in the lower 50s.
Temperatures moderate back into the 60s by the weekend, but morning temperatures will still be cold in the 30s and 40s. Stay warm!
