BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) – West Baton Rouge Museum is hosting its annual Holiday Christmas Open House on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The museum is hosting both visual and performing artists such as New Orleans artist Katherine Klimitas in the gallery with her watercolor works on display. Her work includes an array of Louisiana birds and illustrations of different dog breeds. Performers include Lazarro Nettles, a saxophonist and recording artist, who will have a live performance of holiday jazz music and local groups such as Rockin’ Mozart Music School and the museum’s very own, Blues After School program. The museum will still be open for tours.
Guests can enjoy holiday festivities such as drinking hot apple cider and eating gingerbread, making holiday crafts and listening to stories. Guests can participate in a “Find the Elves” scavenger hunt and shop around for gifts. This event is free and open to the public.
