BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Donations are being accepted on GoFundMe for a man who was killed in a fatal crash in Port Allen on Friday, Oct. 13.
Dedrick “Plymouth” Manchester Sr., 43, was killed after his vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a home. Manchester Sr.’s vehicle struck a gas main and ended up in the ‘bedroom of a nine-year-old girl’, according to the West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office.
Organizers of the GoFundMe for Manchester Sr. released the following statement:
Hi everyone. Dedrick “Plymouth” Manchester Sr. was such a loving person, but unfortunately Oct. 13, 2023, a such tragedy happened unexpectedly. My family is very devastated at this moment, but we are openly accepting any donations, flowers, or anything you may want to send will be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements will be made at a later date.

The goal for the donation is $6,000. As of Friday, Oct. 20, the amount donated is $1,365.
