ST. FRANCISVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) – The St. Francisville Food and Wine Festival is a three-day event hosted at The Myrtles Plantation from Nov. 10-12. Organizers believe the expanded festival will bring more people to the city.

“Now that we have grown the festival into a three-day event, we believe festivalgoers are spending their downtime in the shops, restaurants and hotels in the area,” said Lizzie Moss, co-owner of the St. Francisville Food and Wine Festival.

This is the festival’s fifth year. It will feature more than 40 types of wines, craft beers from regional distilleries and spirits and cocktails from distillers in Louisiana and Mississippi. Each night has a different event.

“We offer several selections of alcohol, and wine tents, a beer garden with several breweries, each showcasing their favorite beers and a spirits garden with 10 distilleries. We will have 25 chefs from all over Louisiana and Mississippi bringing a variety of food tastings,” said Moss.

On Friday, Nov. 10, there will be a multicourse dinner prepared by a celebrity guest chef with wine pairings from Napa Valley in California.

Saturday, Nov. 11, is St. Francisville Saturday Night with a seated dinner under the stars. there will be live music at the afterparty.

Sunday, Nov. 12, is Grand Tastings at the Myrtles. The event will have more than 25 featured chefs, live music, craft beer and spirits and wines.

“My favorite part of the event is watching people get to taste, enjoy and have a one-on-one interaction with our impressive vendors — whether it be the chef who gets to describe the inspiration behind the dish as the festivalgoer tries it, the wine distributor who finds our guest’s new favorite wine or the brewer who gets to describe their craft. It’s so fun to watch guests and vendors get to connect over food or beverage,” Moss said.
