BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Families in the area looking for holiday fun can add BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo’s Zoolights event to their calendars.

Zoolights, a walkable trail through the zoo featuring over 50 illuminated displays of animals and holiday classics, returns from Nov. 25 to Dec. 30. The event is closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, according to the zoo.

Gates for Zoolights are open from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

“ZooLights is a remarkable holiday tradition bringing joy to the Baton Rouge community. Joining with The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank to provide food donations and replenish their provisions during the season of giving, makes perfect sense,” said Jim Fleshman, Zoo Director. “The Zoo is about families and we encourage our guests to give back and get back this holiday season through this ideal partnership.”

The zoo is once again partnering with the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank for the event. Zoolights visitors are asked to donate non-perishable food items for a 50% admission discount.
