Woman arrested for threatening to burn apartment complex down on Twitter

BATON ROUGE, La (LOCAL 33) (FOX 44) - Be mindful of what you post. A Baton Rouge tenant was arrested Friday after sending threatening tweets claiming she would burn down her apartment complex.

According to an affidavit, the investigation was initiated after the tweet was brought to the attention of the Baton Rouge Fire Department.

We're told 20-year-old Breannon Meilleur stated that she would engulf her apartment complex in flames if they did not fix a power outage when she returned home.

Meilluer also posted a picture of a dog sitting at a table in a burning room with a caption that read her life was a nightmare.

Authorities confirmed the threatening tweets came from Meilleur's Twitter account on October 16, 2018, following a detailed analysis.

Meilleur later confessed during questioning that she did indeed send the tweets but was not serious about pursuing the threats.

As a result, she has been booked into the East Baton Rouge Prison on the following charges:

Terrorizing and Communication of false information of planned arson.
