Woman faces aggravated arson charge in connection to vehicle fire

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A woman faces an aggravated arson charge in connection to a vehicle fire.

The Baton Rouge Fire Department (BRFD) responded to a vehicle fire in the 5700 block of Henegan Street on Sunday, Aug. 1.

Firefighters extinguished the flames and BRFD investigators were called to conduct an investigation, according to a spokesperson from BRFD.

On Thursday, 31-year-old Courtney Flemings was taken into custody by BRFD investigators and the Zachary Police Department in connection to the fire.

Flemings faces one count of aggravated arson.
