Woman faces arson charges in connection to July house fire

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A woman has been arrested in connection to arson that took place at a house in July.

Investigators arrested Vanessa R. Mckinnis, 43, on Thursday night, according to a Baton Rouge Fire Department spokesperson. She faces charges of aggravated arson and arson with intent to defraud.

Mckinnis is accused of setting fire to a house in the 1500 block of N. 36th Street on July 21.
