Woman killed in vehicle crash on South Sherwood Forest Blvd.

BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD)- East Baton Rouge Police Department responded to a traffic crash that happened in the 3300 block of South Sherwood Forest Blvd at South Fork Ave. on April 3, around 12:31 a.m.

Christopher Thomas, 33, was traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on Sherwood Forest and crashed into a 2017 Toyota Corolla that was driven by 18-year-old Alexis Robinson.

Robinson attempted to make a left turn onto Sherwood Forest from Southfork. She was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries where she later died.

Thomas was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for Vehicular Homicide, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, Reckless Operation of a Vehicle and General Speed Law.
