BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge will be celebrating 10 years on the new campus.
Woman’s Hospital has been in the Baton Rouge community for over 50 years, and will be celebrating a decade of operation. On Aug. 5, 2012, the new campus at the intersection of Airline Highway and Stumberg Lane at 100 Woman’s Way was opened and accessible to patients, creating history for women and infant’s health.
To honor the 10-year anniversary, Woman’s will be sharing notable accomplishments over the past decade, featuring babies born within the last 10 years, and celebrating with the employees.
“This is such a great time for us to celebrate not only this new facility dedicated to caring for women and infants, but it’s also a time for us to celebrate all of the great things that have happened in this building and all of the monumental moments,” said Cheri Johnson, Woman’s Hospital chief nursing officer. “Even though we’ve been through major crises like floods and hurricanes and COVID, we’re still strong and taking care of our community.”
Since opening the new facility, Woman’s Hospital has delivered over 83,500 babies, over 22,500 babies received care at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), named the Best Place to Work in Healthcare for every year of operation, and many more accomplishments.
