Woman’s Hospital makes changes to visitation policy

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Is this another sign that things are slowly returning to normal in the state?

Woman’s Hospital is making changes to its visitation policy.

Details on those changes and what is staying the same at Woman’s Hospital can be found below:

Starting today, Woman’s Hospital has updated its visitation policy to allow two support persons during visiting hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and one support person overnight for patients admitted to the hospital. Patients will now be allowed two support persons at all times during labor and delivery. It must be the same support persons for the duration of the stay.

Other visitation rules that remain in place include:

  • Only one support person at all times in the Assessment Center.
  • No visitors for imaging and lab services.
  • Patients should contact their individual physician offices for policies regarding visitation at doctor visits.
