BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) – Woman’s Hospital is bringing back Baby Grand after two years due to COVID-19, but it will be virtual.

“There are so many things to consider and do when preparing for a baby, and our Baby Grand event has been a staple for nearly 40 years in providing free education to expecting parents in our community,” Cheri Johnson, chief nursing officer at Woman’s Hospital said. “While we aren’t able to bring back an in-person event just yet, we’re excited to provide a virtual option with the same great information and advice from local maternal and child health experts.”

The free and educational event for expecting parents will be on YouTube Live on Saturday, Jan. 15 at 9 a.m. The virtual event will feature prenatal education sessions, baby care basics, and guest appearances from OB-GYNs, pediatricians, nurses, lactation consultants, physical therapists and more to help expecting parents prepare for a new baby. Local pediatricians will also provide answers about caring for newborns.
