BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baton Rouge Fire Department has taken the Woodhill Drive house fire suspect into custody.

On April 2, the fire department was called to the 900 block of Woodhill Drive for a house fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found three residents outside the home. A car was on fire under the carport. It took about 15 minutes to extinguish the fire. Investigators found that the cause of the fire was arson.

After speaking with the homeowners and witnesses at the scene, a warrant was obtained for the suspect.

On May 13, 24-year-old Jacob Williams was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and charged with aggravated arson. The Baton Rouge Police Department helped the Baton Rouge Fire Investigators with the arrest.
