BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A Woodlawn High School teacher facing sexual misconduct allegations has been fired, according to EBR Schools.

The school system released the following statement:

“In accordance with proper personnel policies, EBRPSS terminated the employment of Woodlawn High School teacher Vincent Hoang on October 24, 2022.”

A lawsuit was filed against Hoang by a former Episcopal High School of Baton Rouge student. The former student claims that Hoang repeatedly harassed her and targeted others. Hoang was fired from the school after school officials interrogated the former student, according to the lawsuit.

EBR Schools previously placed Hoang, who had been working at Woodlawn High for less than three months, on paid administrative leave on Oct. 12.
